India Palace in Germantown

I have eaten there with a friend a few times and the food was good. This is why I decided to drive 30 minutes to pick up an order since there's no dine in due to pandemic.However, I was disappointed. My lamb chops were too salty and I found a dead fly in there (I have photos to prove it) and my husband is my witness 😞

One of the best Indians restaurants, food was delicious and authentic. To go along with the good food, the customer service was perfect. Everyone was very kind and always had a smile on their face. Do not hesitate to come here if you are looking for a great Indian restaurant!

Very popular with locals , we attend our family members 70 th Birthday . The restaurant knows my family and st aside 2 good sized tables for us all to sit and once we were all seated we hit the buffet. Traditional appetizers as well as food but the goat meat was extra good with very soft meat as well as bones which we really like. The plate kept emptying and it seem like it took a bit of time to replenish so would suggest management to be a bit more responsive especially when it is such a popular dish. The other item that one does not see often was egg curry which was tasty based on feedback. What would have made this a 5 would have been the Manager accepting the yelp $1 off which. None of his staff seemed to know about and he didn’t seem very keen on accepting . Not cool! However given how well they treated my relative and is did not lower the rating beyond. 4 . I understand during the week their specials on entrees is quite popular .

The food is amazing. Customer service is beyond expectations. The staff really cares about taking care of the customer. If you go there ask for A Puri. He will endure you have a wonderful experience. My favorite is goat biryani. I definitely recommend!

Best place for Indian food in the area. My son's a picky eater but can't resist the food here. It's our weekly eatery. Good food good ambience and great service.

Everything was wonderful. We came during lunchtime and didn’t realize they were only serving buffet. The manager allowed us to order from a menu and personally took care of us. The food was delicious and had nice large portions and the service was above and beyond. Thank you!

India Palace is our go to place for Tuesday night Indian food take out. My favorite is the vegetable jalfrezi. Often bring clients and co-workers here for business lunches. Great buffet with many vegetarian choices. Still the best Indian food in Montgomery County.

Best Indian Food in town. Superbly best deals and food is delicious and packaged nicely. Every single thing I ordered was delicious and in the spur of the moment when I picked up the food. I forgot to leave a gratuity to the chef but no worries I'll make it up for it tomorrow. So folks if you want Indian food then India Palace Bar and Tandoor is the best👍🙏❤Sunny

Went for lunch, had the buffet. Tried some new things. Food was hot and good. Buffet was reasonably priced, clean and staff was attentive. Very nice place.

This place is easily within the top three Indian restaurants in Montgomery County, MD. They don’t cheat on bring on the full flavor of Indian cuisine. Although the other two have competitively similar in the staple dishes, the India Palace Bar and Tandoor restaurant makes the best naan - i.e. softness, freshness, and taste. Service was very good too.

This is my go to restaurant for Indian style food. Love this place. Chicken curry, aloo goby, naan bread & A Tajhmahal beer.Yum!!!

Came here for the lunch buffet on sunday. A lot of variety with their notable dishes including some tradition items which was more than expected. Free drink- mango lassi and chai tea!!! Most of their items were delicious. Spacious booth seating and the service had no complaints.

HORRIBLE MANAGER/OWNER AND DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO SPEAK WITH CUSTOMERS. HE WAS SHOUTING ON ME SAYING THAT YOU DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO. I WAS JUST ASKING AND HE IS FRUSTRATED. ALSO HAD A VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE WHEN WE ORDERED CHICKEN BIRYANI FOR OUR RELATIVES WHO VISITED US. IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING FOR ME AS I HAVE SUGGESTED THIS PLACE FOR THEM. THE BIRYANI WAS NOTHING BUT JUST A COLOR FOOD WITH SOME CHICKEN PIECES WHICH HAS NO TASTE AT ALL. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE EVER AND EVER. I WAS REALLY DISTURBED WITH THE WAY THE OWNER/MANAGER SPOKE TO ME. FIRST LEARN SPEAKING WITH CUSTOMERS PROPERLY. I’M DONE WITH THIS RESTAURANT😡😡😡

Simple spoiled tonight by the staff. I don’t know what was on the Long Island Ice tea but I am LIT!!!! Also they generously gave out assorted chocolates to all the ladies at the table. Wow! Simple the best service. I will be back!

This place has amazing food. I'm an ex food server in some really awesome restaurants. Any reviews you read that criticize the place don't have much to do with the food, but some coupons. And we didn't order bread but everything was phenomenal and they are super nice here, with excellent & superb service!! Butter chicken, and the Baingan bharta delicioso!!!! From an Italian food lover and connoisseur!!

Very tasty northern Indian cuisine. Excellent vegan and vegetarian options available. They are very generous with the amount of ingredients they put in your dish, both the ala card and the buffet. Everything is very tasty, and not overwhelmingly greasy, spicy or over-seasoned. Try the mango lassi drink, it's delicious! If you are not doing the buffet, I recommend their Thali, which is tray with small servings of a few different types of curries.

Really enjoyed everything I ate today, from the mango lassi to the whole tandoori chicken. My server didn’t really come by much though.

The food was only average, the shrimp in the mixed grill were horrible and tasted like dough, they lacked any consistency whatsoever, when pressed lightly they just turned into mush! The lamb Seekh kabob was under seasoned and disappointing.The lamb with coconuts and spinach was bland.We asked for mildly spiced food but got none!This is very strange for an Indian restaurant. A crying baby and the CONSTANT sound of dishes being cleaned and stacked did not add to a good experience, there were 2 stubborn flies around our food the whole time.The service was very good.

We came here during dinner hours, the atmosphere was inviting and friendly. The garlic naan was warm and toasty, Butter Chicken was delicious and creamy. The goat was very tender, it was a little spicier than I thought but overall everything was very delicious. I will be coming back, perhaps during their lunch buffet to enjoy more of a selection.

A. Puri is the best manager/server we have ever seen and the reason me and my wife go to indian palace. The madras and the fish marsala is the best! Come see him and this awesome place.

This is the best Indian food anyways around here. I got the thali and my wife got the chicken korma. There are also mango lussi to drink even thought it's not listed on the menu.

This place is obviously one of the most pleasant place in the region. Whenever I visit this place I am absolutely satisfied. They preserve their very high standard service and the highest level of food they give. You will be always satisfied with this restaurant. Very recommended.

Great food options during their lunch buffet and you pay about $15/per person. For someone who is not well acquainted with Indian/Pakistani food, most of what I had selected was very palatable and full of flavor--it was quite enjoyable. Service was attentive and considerate. High chairs are available. There are men's and women's restroom with stalls in each. There is a changing table in the large stall in the women's restroom.

Good food, great value, wonderful service! Found this treasure on Yelp. Took mom there for her birthday (she’s VERY picky). Discovered they have a lunch buffet on Sunday! The selection was AMAZING! I’m gluten-sensitive but there was so much I could eat and enjoy. The buffet includes salads, appetizers (like samosas and pakoras), mains, desserts, tandoori, mango lassi, ice creams, coffee and masala chai tea! They’ve thought of everything and it’s all included for 1 price! The food was fresh, seasoned and spiced well. Mom enjoyed it very much; they even gave her a complimentary box of chocolates for her birthday - so sweet! ( :We’re from Northern VA and have tried MANY Indian restaurants there and in MD but this is the best so far. India Palace has been around for 14 years and we found it just now because of Yelp.

Great food, great ambiance and great prices. If you ever want to try Indian food, lunchtime buffet is the way to go! This way you will know what you like and what you don’t. Weekend buffet tends to be better. The staff are very pleasant and can help guiding you on the different foods on the menu.Try it and you will soon become addicted to Indian food!!!

Went here for the first time. Great atmosphere. Tried the non-veg thali. It gave a good sampling of the various meat dishes. These included butter chicken, chicken curry, and lamb curry along with rice and naan. The butter chicken was the best followed by the lamb curry.

Very good compared to Indian restaurants around the world. The best by far I've found in this area. All dishes have been authentic with high quality ingredients.
